Former Wales and Newcastle United Footballer Ronald ‘Wyn’ Davies Dies at 83
Ronald 'Wyn' Davies, the former Wales international and Newcastle United striker, has died at the age of 83. Born in Caernarfon in 1942, Davies had a distinguished career during the 1960s and 1970s, playing for multiple clubs including Wrexham, Bolton Wanderers, Newcastle United, and both Manchester City and Manchester United. Known as 'Wyn the Leap' due to his aerial ability, the 6ft 1in forward earned 34 caps for Wales and scored six international goals. He remains a celebrated figure at Newcastle United, where he was also called 'The Mighty Wyn'.
