Scheffler to Miss PGA Tour Start After Christmas Day Hand Injury
World number one Scottie Scheffler will miss the opening tournaments of the 2025 PGA Tour season following hand surgery. The injury occurred while preparing Christmas dinner when a broken glass caused a puncture wound to his right palm. According to his manager Blake Smith, glass fragments remained in Scheffler's palm, necessitating surgery. The 28-year-old American is expected to make a full recovery within three to four weeks. He will skip The Sentry and Sony Open in Hawaii but plans to return at The American Express Championship in California, scheduled for January 16-19.
