The Head of Civil Service of the Federation has announced a major reorganization involving eleven permanent secretaries across various federal ministries. The announcement came through a statement issued by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations Office.
The reassignment includes key changes across strategic ministries. Gabriel Aduda transitions from the Ministry of Women Affairs to the Ministry of Defence, while Olumuyiwa Enitan Abel moves to the Ministry of Education from Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction in an understudy capacity. The State House receives Temitope Peter Fashedemi, who previously served at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.
Dr. Shuaib Mohammed Lamido Belgore’s new posting is to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, transferring from Regional Development. Dr. Marcus Olaniyi Ogunbiyi takes charge at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, leaving his position at Housing and Urban Development. Adebiyi Olusesan Olufunso shifts from the State House to the Ministry of Works.
Additional changes include Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana’s move to Aviation and Aerospace Development from Defense and Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata’s transfer to Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction from Works. Raymond Omenka Omachi leaves the Common Services Office for the Ministry of Finance (Special Duties), while Mrs. Tinuke Watti and Dr. Maryam Ismaila Keshinro receive assignments to Regional Development and Women Affairs, respectively.
Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, has set December 31st, 2024, as the deadline for completing all handover processes.
